A Taste of SF Tours · San Francisco
A 3.5-hour afternoon tour that picks you up at your hotel around Union Square and stops at Telegraph Hill, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Golden Gate Bridge and Sutro Heights. It's the one to book if you want pickup and a late start.

A Taste of SF Tours starts at 1:30 p.m. and collects you from your hotel in the Union Square area. The route passes Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach and Lombard Street, then stops at Telegraph Hill (15 minutes), the Palace of Fine Arts (5), the Golden Gate Bridge (15) and Sutro Heights Park (15), passing the Presidio, the Marina, Haight-Ashbury and Fisherman's Wharf.
Guests report a Toyota Sienna van for small groups and a shuttle bus for larger ones. Most reviews praise guides who know the city well. Some found a guide too negative about parts of the city, or the back of the van cramped, and the 4.6 rating sits below the VW tours.
Two things to know: confirmation can take up to 48 hours, and the tour needs three people. Tell the operator your hotel when you book. If you're not near Union Square, Skip the Bus or Vantigo are better rated.

★★★★★Randy was an awesome tour guide. You immediately felt like you had known him for years. Very knowledgeable of SF and its history. He was great at answering everyone's questions and made sure we saw all of the important parts of SF in the short time we were here. [...]
★★★★★One of the best things about this tour is they picked you up at your hotel and dropped you back when the tour was over. Just make sure you let them know where you are staying. [...] We saw more on this tour than any other one we took.
★★★★★Very interesting and very informative. I grew up in the SF Bay Area and I I had never been to a few of the places on the tour. Very much worth the money and effort to take this tour.
